Hidden Vegan Treats (in plain sight)

Hidden Vegan Treats (in plain sight)

I feel really good becoming Vegan, I feel so much less of a hypocrite in my views towards animal welfare. However, it is not easy particularly as many things are still not labelled Vegan even when they are. In some respects I think companies are missing out on some positive marketing here. Here are some hidden vegan treats that are often in plain sight.

I will continue to add to the list as & when I find items. Here are some of my favourites.

  • Elmlea Plant Cream Single & Double (I use this to make vegan caramel – Link TBA)
  • Crumpets
  • New York Bakery Bagels
  • Bisto Gravy Granules
  • Tesco Own Brand Chicken Instant Noodles
  • Jus-rol Pastry
  • Tesco Puff Pastry
  • White Rabbit Pizza’s
  • Hartley”s ready to eat Blackcurrant Jelly
  • Pringles Original
  • Oreo’s!!
  • Tesco Prawn Shells
  • Pink Wafers
  • Butterkist Popcorn – Cinema Style
  • Hellman’s Vegan Mayonnaise
  • Stork Block

(Red wines seem very difficult to get a definitive answer from – If anybody knows of any Vegan Red Wines stocked at supermarkets I would be grateful to know)
